Chartered in 2002, the Rotary Club of Kiwatule is one of Uganda’s most energetic and service-driven clubs. While our roots are in the Kiwatule area, today we meet weekly at Kabira Country Club in Bukoto, bringing together professionals, leaders, and entrepreneurs from diverse fields who share a commitment to creating meaningful, community-driven impact.

Guided by Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus — Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention, Disease Prevention and Treatment, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene, Maternal and Child Health, Basic Education and Literacy, Community Economic Development, and Environmental Protection — our club designs projects that address both local and global challenges.

The club began with a simple idea: people coming together to make a difference. Our first formal meeting took place on December 12, 2001, under a humble hut at the Kiwatule Recreational Centre. With mentorship from RC Kololo and dedicated Rotarians, we quickly took shape.

Officially admitted by Rotary International on October 8, 2002, we started with 27 Charter Members and have since grown to 126 members, including four Honorary Members. Over the years, we’ve continued to serve our community with energy, friendship, and a shared commitment to Service Above Self.
