Dear Fellow Rotarians,

In the last edition of the club magazine, I did highlight the importance of October as a vocational service month and for RC Kiwatule as the month that we celebrate our Charter Anniversary.

Join me in thanking Rtn Angella Naggayi and Hon. George Nyombi-Thembo for having hosted us to a successful Charter Nite. Special thanks to Rtn Gorrettie and Rtn Bernard Bamwine for the vocational tour of their Plantation. May I also thank the team that went to St. Augustine Wakiso for the career guidance talk to our students of Senior Five and Senior Six. I witnessed true service above self, on that afternoon because close to the time of setting off, we experienced a heavy down pour, but members never relented. Come November 8th, we shall be crowning the planned Vocational Service activities by engaging in a vocational tour of Mapeera House, where members are urged to bring joy to the less privileged chidren by providing used, but usable cloths and other donations that will bring smiles on the faces of these children.

November has started and it is a month devoted to the Rotary Foundation. RI President calls upon us not to be satisfied with simply doing good, rather to do the most, in the most lasting way possible, for the people who need us most. What best way can we do this, if we do not contribute to the foundation? Let us embrace the foundation by contributing to its programs and in that we shall make a difference in the lives of those that need us most.

Lastly, this month we shall be electing the new leaders for the club, something that we need to put thought to as club members. In addition, our dear District Governor will be visiting us on 20th November, 2013 and lets receive him in the usual Kiwatule style.

Thank you members for the active participation and stay totally involved as we engage Rotary to change the lives of the less privileged.

Florence Lunkuse-Lwanga

President
