The 8th Edition of the Rotary 5-A-Side Football Tournament was held on 20th July 2024 at the MTN Philip Omondi Stadium. See details below.....
About 2000 people attended the tournament and a total of 93 teams participated. These included; 21 Corporate companies, 48 Rotary Clubs, and 24 Rotaract clubs. In the Corporate category, the winner was Centenary Bank, Runners up-Letshego Microfinance. In the Rotary Club category, the winners were RC Nakasero Central, 1st Runners-up RC Kampala Ssesse Islands, 2nd Runners-up RC Nansana, and 3rd runners-up RC Bukoto. RAC Kololo won the Rotaract Club category and the runners-up was RAC Bweyogerere Namboole.
Proceeds from this tournament are used to support community projects addressing Rotary areas of focus; Maternal & Child Health, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene, Basic Education & Literacy, Environment, Community Economic Development, Peace Building & Conflict Prevention, Disease Prevention & Treatment.
